Before installing
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bitInstalls for your account only.
- LoL in borderless window modeGame settings > Video > Window mode. Exclusive fullscreen is not supported.
If Windows shows SmartScreen
The installer is not signed yet: Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. Check the checksum above if you want to be sure of the file, then:
- Click More info.
- Click Run anyway.
- NES installs and starts in the notification area. Double-click its icon to open the window; only “Quit” stops NES.
Then NES updates itself
Never in champ select or in game, and without Windows notifications.
- NES looks for a new version at startup, then every 6 hours.
- It downloads in the background, outside champ select and games.
- Settings > About then offers “Restart to update”. Otherwise it installs when NES closes.
